Curry-flavored Roast Turkey / Chicken

Ingredients (Easy-to-prepare amount)

Whole turkey or chicken (gutted) 1 (approx. 3kg)
[A] Salt 4 tsp
Pepper As needed
S&B Oriental Curry Powder 4 tsp
[B] Celery (thinly sliced) 1 stalk (including leaves)
Onions (thinly sliced) 100g
Carrot (thinly sliced) 100g
Parsley 5 (including stalks)
Bay leaf 2-4
Olive oil or butter 20g
Vegetables of your choice (broccoli, cauliflower, tomato, etc.) As needed

Directions

  1. Wipe off any moisture from the whole turkey or chicken. Rub half of [A] inside cavity and the remaining half on the outside.
    Stuff the turkey or chicken with half of [B]. Arrange the remaining half around the turkey or chicken and press lightly against the meat to infuse the aroma.
    Recommended to place it in the refrigerator for about 1 day.
  2. Bring [1] to room temperature and place it on a baking dish with the vegetables. Coat the turkey or chicken thoroughly with olive oil or butter, then roast in the oven.

    Baking time:
    Turkey: 180°C (350°F) for 2 to 2½ hours
    Whole chicken: 180°C (350°F) for about 2 hours

    Baste with the pan juices during roasting for a juicy finish
  3. Serve with vegetables of your choice.
