Directions
- Mix together the ingredients of 【A】, and then mix them into the rice while it is still warm. Mix until the rice becomes glossy, let cool, and then split into 4 equal parts.
- Prepare the ingredients. Cut the the cucumber into thin stick-shaped slices. Remove the tail from each tempura prawn in advance.
【Green pea paste】
- Put the frozen green peas in boiling water and boil for 3 minutes. Drain off the water, mash and mix with salt and black pepper.
【Scrambled egg】
- Beat the eggs, and add salt and sugar to the mixture. Cook in a frying pan with vegetable oil (not included in the ingredients list) until it is set but still a little soft, then remove from the frying pan and let cool.
【Marinated red cabbage】
- Shred the cabbage, massage the amount of salt listed into the shredded cabbage until tender, and squeeze out the water.
- Add 【B】 and toss together.
- Spread a sushi rolling mat, and overlay plastic wrap on the sushi rolling mat. Spread a layer of 【1】 over the plastic wrap, covering an area equal to the size of one seaweed sheet.
Overlay a toasted seaweed sheet on the vinegared rice, place one fourth of each ingredient prepared in 【2】 on top as the roll core, and roll. Perform this step 4 times.
- Remove the sushi rolling mat, and cut the roll into slices 2 to 3 cm wide.
- Remove the plastic wrap, and pile the slices on top of each other, making the pile resemble a Christmas tree in shape.
Serve with Tobiko (flying fish roe), S&B Wasabi Paste.
