S&B marks its 100th anniversary in 2023.
We would like to take the opportunity to express our deepest appreciation for everyone who has been supporting the S&B Group since our founder Mr. Minejiro Yamazaki created Japan’s first homegrown curry powder in 1923.
To express our heartfelt gratitude, we are holding a series of special events throughout our 2023 anniversary year.
As the first of these events, we present our commemorative website and video.

Our anniversary website uses “&” as its concept and features the history of the S&B Group, our founder’s aspirations, our message to you on our outlook for the future, and more of a variety of content conveying our gratitude for what we have achieved thus far and our promises for the future.

Our anniversary video (approx. 4 min) is available for your viewing pleasure on our commemorative website.
The video accentuates the dynamic essence of the natural environments where our spices and herbs are grown, and members of our workforce and growers involved in the various processes that bring S&B products to our customers also share in their own words their passion for spices and herbs.
Interwoven into the video is the S&B Group’s message to our valued customers as we look towards the future: “Let us walk together in unison towards the next 100 years.”
