Spicy Citrus Paste Flavored Vegetables Rolled in Meat

Ingredients (2 servings)

Boneless pork rib (2 mm thick and 15 cm long thin slices) 200 g / 7 oz
S&B Spicy Citrus Paste 1 Tbsp
Olive oil 1 Tbsp
【Meat rolls① 】 Midi tomatoes 2
【Meat rolls② 】 Asparagus 2
【Meat rolls③ 】 Zucchini (2 cm wide and 15 cm long thin slices) As needed
Carrot (2 cm wide and 15 cm long thin slices) As needed
【A】 Soy sauce 2 Tbsp
Mirin (sweet cooking sake) 1 Tbsp
Sugar 1 tsp
Sake 1 Tbsp

Directions

  1. Remove the tomato stem. Cut off the hard bottom part of the asparagus and slightly peel off the skin of the lower part only.
    Cut the zucchini and carrot into 2 cm wide and 15 cm long thin slices. (Using a peeler will make it easier.) Make four slices of each vegetable.
  2. Spread the pork and spread S&B Spicy Citrus Paste on one side of the pork.
  3. Make the meat rolls. ① Roll the tomato 【1】 with the meat 【2】. ② Roll the asparagus 【1】 with the meat 【2】. ③ Layer two slices of zucchini and two slices of carrot from 【1】 and then the pork from 【2】, and roll them up.
  4. Mix the ingredients of 【A】.
  5. Heat oil in a frying pan over medium heat and put 【3】 with the roll end facing downwards. Sauté them until nicely brown and cooked inside.
    Wipe off the fat that melted from the pork on the frying pan. Add 【A】 and thoroughly coat the meat rolls with 【A】 and cook until ready to eat.
