Hamburger Steak with Curry Sauce

Ingredients (4 servings)

Onion (minced) 200g
S&B Oriental Curry Powder 1 tsp
Olive oil 1/2 Tbsp
【A】 Beef (coarsely ground) 300g
Ground pork 150g
Panko (Japanese breadcrumbs) 120g
Egg 3
Tomato ketchup 3 tsp
Salt Pinch
Black pepper Pinch
Olive oil 1 Tbsp
【Curry Sauce】 Onions (thinly sliced) 100g
Garlic (minced) 2 cloves
Mushrooms (sliced) 80g
White wine 1 1/2 Tbsp
Chicken broth 400ml
S&B Golden Curry Mix 92g 3 blocks (20g x 3)
【Garnish】 Cherry tomatoes As needed
Broccoli As needed
Baby carrots As needed

Directions

  1. Prepare the hamburger steaks. Heat the olive oil in a pot and stir-fry the minced onion. Add the S&B Oriental Curry Powder and continue to stir-fry while keeping it from burning.
  2. Put the onion in 【1】 in a bowl. Add the ingredients in 【A】 to the bowl in the listed order and mix well. Divide into 4 portions and roll each portion into an oval shape.
  3. Preheat the oven to 200°C. Heat 1 tablespoon of olive oil in a frying pan and cook both sides of 【2】, for 2 minutes on each side. Put the steaks in the heated oven along with the vegetables in 【Garnish】 and cook for 15 minutes.
    【Curry Sauce】
    1. Add the olive oil to the frying pan in 【3】 and stir-fry the onion, garlic, and mushrooms.
    2. Add the white wine and the specified amount of water and bring to a boil.
    3. Turn off the heat. Add the S&B Golden Curry Sauce Mix and melt it completely. Turn on the heat again and simmer until the sauce thickens.
  4. Put the hamburger steak from 【3】 on a plate and garnish it with the vegetables in 【Garnish】 as desired. Pour the 【Curry Sauce】 over the steak and serve.
