Curry with Hamburger Steak and Cheese


Ingredients (4 servings)

Onion (sliced)
1 3/4 (350 g / 13 oz)
Carrot (1 cm pieces)
1/2 (100 g / 3.5 oz)
Potato(1 cm pieces)
1 (150 g / 5 oz)
Vegetable Oil
1 Tbsp
Water 540 ml
S&B Golden Curry Sauce Mix 92g
1 pack
【Hamburg】 Ground meat
400 g
Onion (minced) 200 g
Vegetable oil 2 Tbsp
Panko (Japanese breadcrumbs) 20 g
Milk 2 Tbsp
Egg (beaten) 1
【A】 Salt 1/2 tsp
Nutmeg
Pinch
Pepper
Pinch
Rice (cooked) As needed
Cheese (melting type) As needed
Green beans (boiled) As needed
Potato(boiled) As needed
Carrot(boiled) As needed

Directions

  1. Slice the onion, and cut carrot and potato into 1 cm small pieces.
  2. Heat the oil in a pan and cook 【1】 thoroughly for appx. 5-10 min.
  3. Add the water and bring to a boil. Reduce the heat. Put the lid on the pot and simmer until the vegetables are tender, for appx. 15 min.
  4. Turn off the heat. Add the S&B Golden Curry Mix, breaking it into pieces, then stir until sauce mixes are completely melted.
  5. Turn on the heat again and simmer for approx. 5min, stirring constantly.

    【Hamburger Steak】
    1. Mince the onion. Heat 1 Tbsp vegetable oil in a pan and stir-fry onion until golden brown. Take it out of the pot and set aside to cool.
    2. Mix the panko and milk in a bowl. Add the ground meat and 【A】, and mix well until the mixture becomes sticky. Divide the mixture into quarters and make each piece into a round shape.
    3. Heat the remaining (1 Tbsp) vegetable oil in a pan over medium heat and cook ② until golden on the bottom for 3 min. Flip them over and cover. Steam and fry until cooked through for 5-6 min.
      Uncover and put the cheese on top. Put the lid back on and cook until cheese is melted.
  6. Place the rice on a plate, top with the hamburger steak and pour curry sauce. Garnish with the green beans, potatoes and carrots.
